Dr. Joseph Pocher was raised in Natick, Massachusetts and received his bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of New Hampshire in 1989. He worked as a laboratory technologist in Boston and Reno, Nevada following graduation. He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 2003 and started working for Natick Animal Clinic at that time. Dr. Pocher spent eight years at Natick, then moved to Farm Street Veterinary Hospital to broaden his experience as a veterinarian by working at another clinic. He returned to Natick Animal Clinic in 2014. His special interests include reptile and exotic animal medicine and soft tissue surgery. He is a member of the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Pocher likes to spend time with his wife and two sons enjoying outdoor sporting. He is parent to a variety of pets including three dogs, a cat, tortoises, snakes and chickens.
